Arkansas upset LSU, and you should never, ever play Bret Bielema’s Razorbacks

With his visiting Razorbacks clinging to a 10-point lead and the LSU offense beginning to hum, Cornelius, a Shreveport native who said he had an LSU offer, took an end-around 69 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter – the third Arkansas touchdown of more than 50 yards on the night – to seal a 31-14 upset of No. 9 LSU on Saturday.

“It’s time to step up”, said Miles, who saw the game close up. “I have one, but I think he’ll send one to me special”.

The LSU football team took a major hit in the polls after suffering an embarrassing loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. CBS and ESPN’s networks passed on that game Monday. After the first consecutive 200-yard performance in Alabama history, it looks like Derrick Henry will not be denied Heisman Trophy. Then, the Ducks got liquidated by Utah at home and were outplayed in overtime by Washington State two games later. “I’m not concerned”, he said. “We get basically two Tuesday practices in”, Freeze said. “That negative piece that needs to be fixed”.

Prior to the loss to the Tide two weeks ago, the Tigers had started this season 7-0 SU and 4-3 ATS, outrushing every opponent.

-For the second straight season, DE Marquis Haynes has established himself as one of the SEC’s premier pass rushers.

LSU fans watching at home can be forgiven if they thought they had stumbled on a re-run of last week’s crushing loss to Alabama. A week removed from a No. 2 national ranking, LSU dropped this game by 17 points. “As a team we just all need to back on track and get back to what got us here”. The SEC and Big Ten are in the best playoff position with more than one team vying for a spot. We don’t really feel like it’s a crisis. “That did a lot for me”.

On the other side, the team in the Purple, Gold and White uniforms was seeing their offensive line melt down and their quarterback make repeated mistakes on simple plays. I hope you’re happy. But even zero more wins would see the Razorbacks playing somewhere beyond Thanksgiving weekend. The Razorbacks, meanwhile, came in as the winners of three straight, including a wild, high-scoring victory over Ole Miss. “The attitude we’re going to breed, it’s going to be fun”. “Maybe, you just never can tell, we’ll move a tackle around”. LSU has also been without starting fullback John David Moore and starting tight end Dillon Gordon for most of the season because of knee injuries, but LSU rushed the ball very well without those two against SC and SEC East champion Florida.

Miles did praise the play of Clapp and starting true freshman left guard Maea Teuhema.

Arkansas raced out to a 21-0 first half lead before LSU responded with a touchdown pass on a tipped ball to cut the lead to 14 at halftime and gain a few momentum going into the locker room. A program that prides itself on winning in the trenches and with a ground and pound attack has had a season that reflects its style of play.
