National Football League admits officiating mistake that cost Ravens a win
When Bradley was asked if he’s anxious about Bortles being inconsistent, he said, “You’re always looking for consistency”.

Not often, that’s for sure.
But Dumervil grabbed the quarterback’s facemask, and because a game can’t end on a penalty by the defense, the Jaguars got the ball at the 35. “That was probably the wildest finish I’ve ever been involved in”.
Long after the final whistle, the Jaguars players were whooping and laughing in their locker room.
In his second game back from a knee injury, Jacksonville defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks made key contributions in the Jaguars’ 34-31 victory over the Buffalo Bills on October 25.
The Ravens coach noticed that not all of the Jaguars had come set as Jacksonville rushed to get off the final play. A 10-second runoff for that penalty in that situation would have ended the game.
“I dropped one that could have been six [points] – two of them, really”, Smith said. In addition to committing four turnovers, Baltimore was penalized nine times for 121 yards. From there Myers booted the game-winning kick.
“We looked at it and we talked to the league about it. If you saw it on tape, it’s pretty obvious what happened as far as them not being set”, Head Coach John Harbaugh said.
Baltimore Ravens have one of their start of the season with a 2-6 record.
Jacksonville’s season to date: The Jags are 2-2 in games decided by fewer than seven points, but just 2-6 overall. The one bit of good news is that the run defense looks vastly improved.
“We’re coming out of this (bye) with the mindset of playoffs or bust”, cornerback Jimmy Smith said.
The ball was snapped with 0:01 second left. There was a flag. “I bet he couldn’t wait for this opportunity to go out there and show the world that he’s better than what everyone thinks”. Joe Flacco threw for 319 yards and one touchdown in 25 of 37 passes to lead the Ravens. In the end, we have to overcome all that stuff. But Baltimore reclaimed the lead, 20-19, after Flacco tossed a touchdown pass to receiver Chris Givens midway through the fourth quarter.
On the third play of the third quarter, Flacco threw a high pass that hit off the outstretched hands of Kamar Aiken and bounced around before Davon House intercepted it. The Jaguars took over on the Ravens’ 27, but had to settle for Myers’ 45-yard field goal after three consecutive Bortles’ incompletions. The Jaguars’ Blake Bortles answered with a touchdown strike to Allen Robinson, but a failed two-point conversion put them up only 19-14.
Flacco went 21 for 28 for 204 yards in the first half to stake the Ravens to a 14-10 lead at the break. The ensuing onside kick was fumbled by Lions star receiver Calvin Johnson, but Mason Crosby missed a 52-yard field goal attempt as time expired.
Flacco made it three giveaways on three possessions when he lost a fumble at the Jacksonville 41.

But Myers should never have had the chance to attempt the field goal, according to the NFL. Ravens punt returner Jeremy Ross also muffed a punt in the fourth quarter. Baltimore fell to 13-3 at home in November under Harbaugh.
