One Direction moves on without Zayn Malik

One Direction was one of those things. Fast-forward two and a half years, and the rest is history.

One Direction have mastered the ability to write songs that are fun to sing loudly and badly in the auto, and “Made In The A.M.” has this aspect.

Despite the break-up and the announcement of their long break, One Direction urged their fans to believe that their newly released album, “Made in the A.M”, is their way of thanking their rock-solid fans, hoping that they will still believe in a potential comeback of the famous group in the years to come.

Have we been repeating this album on a loop?

Despite being a household name and worldwide star, Bieber has found it hard to convert fame to chart success in the same way that One Direction have. Here is a track-by-track review of our initial reactions to the deluxe edition. Made In The A.M.’s goodbye-for-now will resonate because it will be juxtaposed with good pop. It’s the certainty of unapologetic artistry until the guitars are dropped and the voices stop singing. Theirs is a success which doesn’t shy away from what it is, and its this unapologetic acceptance, this refusal of shame, which has produced success, pop hits which are infectious, music videos which are never dramatically serious. The deluxe edition of the album will include the bonus track, A.M.

There’s no Zayn at all on the new album – and a few eager fans have cooked up a conspiracy theory that the AM in the title refers to “After Malik”. Although I also had no clue as to what the lyrics meant.

“Love is love.” That’s it. That’s the song. Louis is becoming a father; Liam just broke up with his longtime girlfriend. Both songs note instances of midnight driving and spontaneous adventures. It’s time for it to end, but it wouldn’t be right if it didn’t go out in a blaze of passion. It is consistently stronger than the band’s 2014 album, “Four”.

Since his departure, Zayn has courted controversy while he works on his debut solo album. The verses sound completely different from the chorus and vice versa.

“When Louis got the call he was going to be a dad, I was the person he spoke to”, Cowell recalled. He said their relationship is more than just business. “They are in their 20s-it’s tough and it’s my job to be there”. Plus, the lyrics of this song are just so sweet that I can see this being covered. Best line: “When you go and I’m alone / you live in my imagination”. “They got offers for way more money from other record companies”, he shared. I won’t eat him. Anyhow, this song takes me back to the Beatles.

The band that the world loves was broken apart or nicked. Similar observations can be made about early single “Drag Me Down”, which contrasts the major key of the opener in favor of a minor key. Louis’ authentic writing abilities are evident once again in this laid-back rendition. Definitely a great choice to start off the album.

BL: In this song, I’m obsessed with the fact that I can hear the slides and finger style on guitar. Too much is never enough when it comes to this song. The chorus of “Temporary Fix” sounds exactly like their own cover of Blondie’s “One Way or Another”, the hook of “Walking in the Wind” is stolen straight from “Oh What a Night”. “This is not the end”. They had to fill the void that had been left by Malik’s absence.

Bella had maybe one of our fave answers ever on how to choose just one of the guys, telling Sugarscape: “Harry Styles if I were to choose one but why not blend them all?” Um.
