Dallas Cowboys slump to seventh straight defeat
After getting off to a quick 2-0 start with Tony Romo under center, the team suffered a major setback when their quarterback hit the disabled list.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers only managed one trip into the red zone Sunday afternoon.
08 NOV 2015: Jameis Winston (3) of the Buccaneers rolls out towards the right side before taking off for the pylon for the touchdown during the regular season game between the NY Giants and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
“Ultimately, you have to do what’s necessary to win the game”, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “But what you have to do is find ways to win games and we’ve done that in the past. That’s the story of the game”. Since losing their star QB to a broken clavicle in that Week 2 game, Dallas has been in a full on tailspin. With that in mind, maybe it’s better to keep Tony Romo out for the entire season?
“We’re not finishing games”, Dallas defensive end Jeremy Mincey said. “We’ll continue to do that”. Garrett said the incident did not affect anybody. He hasn’t been made available to the media for weeks, even hopping in a Ferrari in Week 9 to avoid reporters. But we still have to get better at things, correcting things that are keeping us from winning and not just expect him to be able to overcome those things. He overcame a bunch of blunders typical of Tampa Bay’s laughable past. Matt Cassel had a good look on Bryant down the field but as there was slight contact between him and Bradley McDougald, Bryant seemingly had given up on the ball which resulted in a McDougald interception to win the game. But he missed from 48 yards to end that streak… Michael Evans had eight catches for 126 yards.
NOTES: Garrett said LB Sean Lee passed the concussion protocol and was expected to practice Wednesday.
Cole Beasley’s 22-yard punt return started the Cowboys’ second possession at their 48. Then there was a drive in the third quarter when the offense seemed to have a few momentum building, but Bryant’s drop on an easy slant pattern put an end to that drive.
Tampa Bay followed by driving to the Cowboys’ 28, but Barth’s 46-yard field goal hooked left no good.
Bryant knows that the more the ball is in his hands, the better chance his team has of winning the game, and he has no issues letting his quarterback and his coaches know that. Bailey’s last miss came on a 53-yard attempt against the Indianapolis Colts on December 21, 2014.
Neither team scored the remainder of the first half or in the third quarter. Heath’s interception in the second quarter, stopping a drive that reached the Dallas 26, ended the rookie’s streak of 134 consecutive passes without a pick.
An unnecessary roughness penalty on the ensuing kickoff and an 11-yard pass took the Cowboys to the Tampa Bay 45-yard line with 28 seconds left. Hardy and DeMarcus Lawrence had to be separated on the sidelines on Sunday after the two were “involved in an altercation”, according to CBS Sports.
Midway through his first season as the primary play caller, Smith appears to finally have the right combination of cornerbacks and safeties, because he has indeed become more aggressive.
On the next play, Hardy fell – or, as his attorney might say, “tripped over a scale” – and Jameis Winston lobbed a screen pass over him to Martin, who slipped a couple of tackles and picked up 25 yards. It would be great to win two in a row, great to get to.500.

“The touchdown was magical, man”, Winston said.
