One of the victims, who owns a small piece of property next to Hudson’s roughly 50 acres, “bought the land probably to camp”, Taylor said. Hannah Johnson and Thomas Kamp were dating, and Carl Johnson was Hannah’s father.

Lauren York said it does not appear that drugs or alcohol was a factor in the killings. “And it wasn’t just verbal abuse towards women, it was towards both men and women”, the woman said.

He said Hudson is not related to the victims.

Facebook Carl Johnson, 77, was one of six people found dead on land owned by his daughter Hannah Johnson and her boyfriend Thomas Kamp, his family told a Maine Newspaper.

A seventh person, Cynthia Johnson, managed to escape and alerted the authorities about the incident. “She met a great guy and was very happy there”, Hannah Johnson’s friend, Michael Gilbert, wrote on Facebook.

A message left at a phone number listed under Hudson’s name was not immediately returned.

Police said they had one suspect in custody, identified by the sheriff’s office as Kamp’s neightbour, 33-year-old William Hudson. Prosecutors are expected to file additional charges.

Hudson, 33, was arrested and jailed on suspicion of murder. “He was violent, but it wasn’t of this nature”.

WFAA reported that Karp and Hannah Johnson lived with Kade in Midlothian, outside Dallas.

Taylor said Hudson was picked up several weeks ago for a separate assault. Johnson’s mother Cynthia Johnson suffered minor injuries and spent Sunday night in a county crisis center after alerting police that morning.
