Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham: Per Mertesacker happy sharing points with Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says his feeling are mixed after Sunday’s 1-1 draw away at Arsenal.

Full-back Danny Rose chipped a long ball over the Arsenal defence, with Per Mertesacker caught up field and Laurent Koscielny trying to play offside, which released Kane into the Arsenal penalty area.
“Overall I am disappointed that we haven’t won the game, but if you look at the recent period as a block it can happen that in six games you can drop points”, Wenger said. “I hope during the worldwide break we do not lose more, but we should get a few back… just after the break”, he added.
Gibbs scored the equaliser in the north London derby after Harry Kane had fired Tottenham in front – but Wenger insisted post match his side were handicapped by a mystery illness to Santi Cazorla. “At half-time I took him off and we were a bit better balanced in the second half”.
The visitors – who move up to fifth – dominated the majority of the game but a point stops their rivals going top of the table after Manchester City’s earlier draw at Aston Villa.
“Pochettino has done a wonderful job with instilling his philosophy and style of play with this Tottenham team”.
“They don’t come often but when they do it’s hopefully enough to help the team”, Gibbs said of his goal, a close-range volley following Mesut Ozil’s cross. We showed mental strength’.
“It was unexpected coming from the back, but we have very little offensive options at the moment on the bench”, he continued.
“We’ve just got to keep doing what we’re doing – there’s a lot of games still left to play”.
But if they and Arsenal’s other internationals come through unscathed, the FA Cup holders will be in a strong position to continue their Premier League title tilt in the run-up to Christmas. I am pleased. When you see a player who is happy to miss chances, you can worry.
