Flight out of Reagan National Airport evacuated following suspicious activity

A plane flying out of Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., was evacuated on Sunday following suspicious activity. The team did not detect any abnormalities and the flight later departed for Boston.

The two men were questioned and released, according to sources.

Nothing is found. Passengers re-board and the plane takes off.

Authorities say four people were removed from a Chicago-bound plane at Baltimore-Washington worldwide Thurgood Marshall Airport at the captain’s request. According to American Airlines, they were accommodated on another flight.

After the crew cleared the plane of passengers, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority officers arrived with a K-9 unit, police spokesman Jonathon Freye said.

The flight Spirit Airlines 969 was scheduled to leave BWI around 6 a.m.to head to Chicagos OHare global Airport.
