‘Dancing’: Who Is In The Finals

See who shined under pressure below.

“Dancing With The Stars” is involved in a homophobic scandal after the show’s producers did not allow a guy to guy performance.

Adam Taylor/ABC Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough perform on “Dancing with the Stars”.

Julianne: It was raining happiness, but she wanted more down and dirty. He definitely stepped up, though there wasn’t much he could do in the face of Bindi’s “hip action”, as Bruno said. They got a 27 out of 30!

It was a big night for worldwide hero Alek Skarlatos, who came from the back of the pack to deliver a flawless waltz with partner Lindsay Arnold. They really hit every step, have great chemistry and are simply fantastic. “It was really breathtaking”. Laughed Bindi: “And here that’s what made me feel the most comfortable!” It was true dancing.

Peta Murgatroyd, who was out due to an injury this season, dances with Nick and Sharna. I felt that both dances should have gotten ideal scores, but while Bindi did get that 30, Carlos came up one point short with a 29.

What the judges say: Julianne tells Bindi she’s a “little ninja warrior princess” who didn’t miss a beat.

Bruno: It was a bloody good dance. It was like watching Tarzan. They got a 28.

Adam Taylor/ABC Sharna Burgess and Nick Carter perform on “Dancing with the Stars.” .

Problems continued long after fame though, as the boy-band member battled an addiction to drugs an alcohol.

Julianne: You completely took over that dance, it was tight, it was clean.

I’d include a stock image of Sad Lonely Val here, but frankly I’d rather remember this shining moment of his from the opening group number instead! There’s also an update on Tamar coming during the show. They got a 24. However, there was a bit of “reality-show hangover” as host Tom Bergeron teased the Tamar Braxton-Val Chmerkovskiy incident a couple of times and then had Val explain how she was finally diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs and had to be hospitalized.

Now that’s the Tamar I know.

Mark Ballas is back to dance with Bindi and Derek, and Karina Smirnoff joins Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson for their trio. “Alek, you sold it but the technique wasn’t there”. “In a lot of ways I was trying to hurt myself”, Nick said. “It was a matter of taste”. Alek just doesn’t have the effortless grace required to pull off what I assume was meant to be a soaring sendup of all kinds of emotions.

Carrie Ann: A great way to start the semi-finals. “So you’re both dancing in the finale!” Julianne was impressed with how sexy Bindi was.

The second round will be the fun trio dances, where the couples will be joined by a former contestant pro dancer.

Alek’s friends and family confirm what we all suspected: Alek goes after all his endeavors at full speed. Bruno Tonioli called it a “compelling and intriguing work of genius”. They got a flawless 30! Emma and Lindsay have the same body type and all Alek had to do was flip them around with his giant muscles.

Bruno: One thing is for sure, it takes three to tango! You handled the threesome like an expert. Bruno agreed, saying “you stole the show from the girls”, and comparing him to Ben Vereen.

Carrie Ann: I have mixed feelings about this. Do you think Alek did enough to avoid elimination tonight and move ahead to the Finale? Carlos, too, knows that a little booty-shaking won’t hurt his scores, and overall, he and Witney look much more in control during their last minute cha-cha. “No offense ladies, but I thought Carlos was the professional out there”, Julianne said.

Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 9, Julianne: 10, Bruno: 10, total: 29 out of 30. “All the Nick we’ve seen from day 1 was in there tonight”. Julianne Hough said that everything Nick had to offer was in that dance and that he was a real contender. Bruno raved. “This was the most solid you’ve ever been on your feet. The Backstreet Boy is back!”

When it comes to predicting the victor this season, Irwin, who has gotten the top judges’ score six times so far with Emmy-winning pro partner Derek Hough, extends her commanding lead.
