‘The Voice’ season 9 contestants, battle rounds & recap: top 12 ranked! See
In honor of the fallen and wounded in Paris, The Voice began with a moment of silence as France’s tricolor – red, white and blue – flashed behind them on Monday night’s show. From Team Adam, Amy Vachal is safe. She didn’t have a flawless performance tonight.

Of course, Stefani and he had been compelled to sing it as a playful duet – and it was before the two coaches (recently divorced from their respective spouses) had admitted they were romantically involved.
Following the performance, a the camera cut to his parents who were enjoying the performance.
Tuesday at 8 pm will be elimination night, where one contestant will be leaving the competition based on America’s votes. Sunshine has shown a lot of versatility in the competition – he has gone from Nina Simone to Styx, and he nails it all. His innate ability to sing every word with so much conviction is beautifully emphasized by the sheer power of his voice. Musically it was tonally appealing, if a bit drowsy and emotionally lacking. She sang “Blame It on Your Heart” by Patty Loveless, which was definitely a good fit for her voice. After regaining his composure (see above), Williams admired the “creative license” taken by Vachal, who had initially been on his team.
Then, the final low four were revealed: Evan McKeel, Zach Seabaugh, Mark Hood and Korin Bukowski. Gwen said, “There was something so free about you tonight”. When Korin was done, Blake told her, “Please keep thinking that you are not cool because that is what is so cool about you”. All the coaches admired the progress Roberts had made already during the course of the show.
Team Gwen’s Bukowski managed to win over Twitter with a slinky version of Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why”.
“You did it, you did it as long as you could stand it”, Shelton joked of Baber’s need to get out from behind the mic. “What comes out of you is real”.
“I don’t know that I’ve ever had anybody on this show like you that I really feel like you could walk off this stage right now, out the door, get on your tour bus and be on your headlining tour”, says Blake.
“You had me standing up in the middle of the song”, says Pharrell.
When asked who the contestants’ biggest contender might be, a lot of them said that it was Jordan Smith as he delivered great and consistent performances throughout the season, E! He did it again with James Bay’s “Let It Go”. For a few reason, even though her performance was both powerful and tender, the coaches found something to quibble with. This song needs a really clear attitude: “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take it anymore”. What I love about you is you are so full of heart and spirit. He acknowledges that he wasn’t comfortable on stage, and vows to turn things around with “This Is It” by Kenny Loggins. McKeel just seems to be trying too hard. She also suggested Korin “shock people” by getting a new hairstyle, going from brunette to platinum blonde.
Mark Hood, from Team Pharrell, sang Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds”.
But so far, Team Adam’s Jordan Smith seems like the one to beat on The Voice 2015. Now it’s down to the last three that will be safe and then two will perform for a shot at the instant save.

Last night on The Voice USA Season 9, things kicked off with the Voice Top 12 performing and trying to earn a spot in the Voice Top 11. He sings Little Texas’ “My Love”, and it has more flat notes than passion. His coach, Pharrell called for America to vote for him because of his performance. Only Levine expressed reservations, saying he had been left wanting more of last week’s “Elvisy stuff”. “Not only did you recover, but you recovered with one of the most powerful notes you’ve sung in your life!” says Adam. Who will it be?
