White House: ISIS Lacks Capability to Attack US
The president said the world still needs to rely on a political solution to end the war in Syria.

“There is a 9/11 coming, and it is coming from Syria if we don’t disrupt their operation inside of Syria”, he said.
He called for 10,000 American troops on the ground in Iraq as part of a regional military force.
Hillary Clinton argued during the debate that military forces should be used as a last resort, but that ISIS “cannot be contained”. He added that “a true safe zone requires us to set up ground operations”, noting that the bulk of civilian casualties stemmed from ground operations.
“There is no substitute for a ground component in this war”, he said.
The French air force had carried out retaliatory strikes against ISIL positions in Raqqa, considered the headquarters of the hardline Sunni group in Syria, and had destroyed one training facility and many command centres, Richier said. “We have not seen a coalition form, but that’s because there has been no leadership”.
“I don’t think they’re gaining strength”, Obama responded. The planes left from Jordan and the UAE and the strikes were conducted in coordination with USA forces, the ministry said.
Obama was briefed by his National Security Council before leaving as the slaughter in France put on his plate the questions of whether the United States will step up military action against ISIS – acting alone if a real coalition, with a priority of defeating ISIS, isn’t mustered among nations with disparate interests in Syria and Iraq. The French administration is also tempted to invoke Article 5 of the North Atlantic North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which describes an attack on one of the members as an attack against all.
“If we don’t do these things soon, what you’ve seen in Paris is coming to America”, Graham said.
During an interview with CNN, Huckabee called for closing our borders and creating a coalition to fight ISIS and al Qaeda.
The president said that though we could temporarily clear out ISIL, if we don’t have local populations committed to inclusive governments and pushing back against ideological extremes, those groups will resurface.
Roberts, a former assistant secretary of the U.S. treasury, noted that the ruling parties in Western countries like the USA and France are using the attacks as an excuse to close their borders on refugees, while also undermining their opponents. When he announced his candidacy in June, Graham said that Americans will be “killed here at home” unless Obama sends ground troops into Iraq and Syria to defeat the terrorist threat.

“The G-20 agenda has been hijacked by ISIS”, said Tara Sonenshine, a former Obama State Department undersecretary, using the nickname for the Group of 20 global group.
