Bryant received all 30 first-place votes.
Kris Bryant capped off his incredible first year with the ultimate honor: 2015 MLB National League Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year. The players’ association, and Bryant’s agent Scott Boras, protested the decision to keep him in the minor leagues as a bush-league call that delayed the player’s status as a free agent until after the 2021 season. “Moving on from this season, I think the future is so bright for this team”. Giants third baseman Matt Duffy finished second in the balloting while Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang finished third. Minnesota Twins designated hitter Miguel Sano was third with 20 points.
“It’s like a season that I only thought was going to happen in a dream”, said Correa, who acknowledged the metal plate in his right leg caused him pain much of the year. “Hopefully one day we can bring a championship for the first time to the city of Houston”.
Houston gave Correa his debut after making sure he won’t be eligible for arbitration until following the 2018 season. The victor of the remaining BBWAA awards will be announced live on Major League Baseball Network this week with the Manager of the Year announced tomorrow (Nov. 17), the Cy Young on Wednesday (Nov. 18) and the Most Valuable Player on Thursday (Nov. 19).

Besides handling third base better than a few observers expected – his 6.9 defensive runs saved ranked fifth in the league – Bryant showed his versatility by playing all three outfield positions, including 10 starts.
