Rob Ryan fired by New Orleans Saints
The Saints are turning porous, poor-tackling “D” into an art form.

Um, no it’s not, Delvin.
New Orleans’ defense has been abysmal all season and has given up 26 or more points six times in 10 games. And we just had to look closely at a few point to at least give this an option because the direction we were heading wasn’t good.
While Payton said Ryan still was a member of the staff at his press conference, he also promised changes for the Saints coming out of their bye week. He hasn’t caught a break yet. “I’m talking about us as players, as a staff collectively”.
But the Saints defense fell back to 31st in 2014 as the team went 7-9.
The Stonewall Jackson attitude of the Saints has been replaced by an all out Chinese Fire Drill and it’s hard to watch an honor role student making D’s with about as much effort. He simply had his way in shredding the Saints for 324 yards in going 20-of-25 with four TDs and no interceptions.
“We didn’t do a whole lot well”, Payton said about his defense. “We struggled tackling, and it seemed like one big play after another”.
According to ESPN, he had trouble walking on the foot all through practice last week and head coach Gary Kubiak even stated that he probably should have sat him.
The loss, the second-straight for the Saints, dropped them to 4-6 on the season, while the Redskins improved to 4-5. They’re on pace to set the record for most touchdown passes allowed in a season, as noted by Pro Football Talk.
The coach added that he hasn’t met with general manager Mickey Loomis or assistant coaches individually about personnel matters, referring to such potential changes as “something that would not be done without a lot of thought”.
Ward, the former OR standout, was tossed for a blow to the head when receiver Jeremy Maclin took him out on Charcandrick West’s 80-yard touchdown Sunday that put the Chiefs ahead 29-0 on their way to a 29-13 win.
