Andy Dalton Didn’t Like JJ Watt’s Post Game Comments

It’s fair to wonder how much of Monday’s game film is worth watching. And the kick return unit managed a 17-yard average that was the lowest mark since the season opener. I consider myself one of the main guys on this team.

“24’s got to make the play”, he said. A convincing win over the Cleveland Browns earlier in the campaign raised hopes that the Bengals had conquered their fears, but a nervy showing against Houston suggested otherwise. However, Green’s fumble on fourth down ended the drive and sealed the loss.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We’ve got to get back to what we were doing.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis deflected the notion that his players were taking the hype of an undefeated start to heart. We’re still 8-1. We’re still leading the division.

A trip to Arizona to face the Cardinals on Sunday represents a huge opportunity for Cincinnati to right its ship. “Bounce back and find a way to win the game”.

“Our goal was to come out here and make the Red Rifle look like a Red Ryder BB gun, and I think we did that tonight”.

Though he said he still hasn’t seen the interview for himself, Dalton told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman on Tuesday, “There’s no feud between me and J.J”. I have a lot of respect for him. It shows what he’s about. Cornerback Charles James played 71 percent of the Texans’ defensive snaps, mostly at nickel, and nose tackle Christian Covington got 31 percent of the Texans’ defensive snaps and sacked Dalton once. They had nine penalties for 70 yards.

“It’s on to the Jets now”, O’Brien said. J Watt, the teams only “Marquee” player to ask him about the defense dominating the pathetic Bengals offense. As per policy, he is listed as “day to day” in the concussion protocol. While he didn’t play as well in the second half, his first half was arguably his best half of football this year and is something to build on going forward. “I wish him the best the rest of the season”.

It wasn’t just one loss though.

The Cincinnati Bengals suffered their first loss of the 2015 season on Monday Night Football, falling to the Houston Texans 10-6. He heard it from the crowd, too. There were a couple boos out there, which is fine. “We just didn’t do it”.

Dalton then hit Eifert for six yards. However, the Texans still have a long way to go. But the Bengals rushed for only 73 yards, led by Gio Bernard’s 36. Dalton picked up 30 yards on five runs, a few of them off designed plays.

Hopkins’ catch was reminiscent of Odell Beckham Jr’s one-handed take for the NY Giants last season, with the Texans’ receiver somehow managing to get both feet down while toppling backwards.

Eifert also had a brutal drop in the second quarter on a third-down pass that would have given the Bengals a first down in the red zone. Houston was flagged twice for pass interference, once on offense, once on defense. But, to no avail. The Texans may have a hard time running against the Bengals. Houston gained just 3.3 yards per attempt. Considering their 8-0 record and the prime time game being in Cincinnati, there was a buzz in the air among Bengal fans.

That the Texans had a bye week heading into this game absolutely helped.
