Uber Driver To Woman Who Canceled Ride: “I’ll Cut Your Neck”
Cab drivers and strangers have been sending messages to Kealey telling her to sue Uber, but she said punishing the company was never her intention. You bring here, and then you cancel.

Uber replied to the claims on Twitter by saying “action has been taken” following the complaint. Frustrating for the driver, no doubt, but something Uber’s system allows. Please fire this man right away, Uber I’ve submitted a compliant.
Design critic Anna Kealey said she was left shaking after a driver said “cancel again and I’ll cut your throat” in a furious voicemail message.
The driver calls Anna an “idiot” and shouts at her not to cancel a cab again “otherwise I’ll cut your neck”.
“It starts off quite vile, but by the end it gets so violent, I just couldn’t believe the language he was using. Even though it’s not a direct threat, it felt so creepy, and I realized this person had been driving around for the past 10 days”.
She later wrote: “Update: I’ve met with police and filed a report, Uber are cooperating”.
Kealey is still struggling to understand what drove the Uber driver to leave her such an aggressive voice mail considering he received a cancellation fee. Admitting she suffers from the occasional anxiety attack, she decided on the day she’d be more comfortable walking to her destination, and so canceled the booking a few minutes before it was due to arrive.
She added: ‘He sounded unstable.
“The idea that he’s out on London’s stressful roads with that sort of anger makes it all the more nerveracking”.
The matter has been reported to the police.
Uber have not yet responded to a request for comment but earlier said in a statement to BuzzFeed that they had spoken to Kealey to ensure she was “ok” and had “encouraged” her to complain to police.

The taxi driver has been “immediately suspended, as is our policy, and we are investigating fully“.
