Upon arrival, users will receive a wellness pack for $10 and the option to request a flu shot from a registered nurse from Passport Health for up to 10 people at no cost.

Ahh, November. Autumn has arrived and winter is already knocking on many of our doors, bringing with it that unwelcome assortment of chapped red noses and sniffling and sneezing around you. John Brownstein, an epidemiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, told the Washington Post that 80% of the people who got the flu shot from Uber a year ago said that they wouldn’t have gotten the vaccine if Uber hadn’t sent a nurse right to them. The nurse can administer up to 10 flu shots, so your friends can get vaccinated too.

Uber has been expanding it’s ride-sharing service with delivery services, offering up Halloween costumes on demand, packages, food and even adopted kittens. The shots won’t actually be given inside that UberX though, so please make sure you have a suitable indoor location before hailing your Uber Nurse. “With (Dr. Brownstein’s) guidance and expertise, we will be able to identify other ways we can leverage the Uber platform so we can drive to a healthier future”.
