Ben Carson Says He Has ‘No Problem’ Being Vetted
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says he’s the target of what he calls the “biased media”.

“You talk about stabbing someone and it got stopped by a belt buckle”.
Moving on, at least in the short term, is unlikely for Carson.
The candidate has been under the microscope over the past few days as more questions arise regarding the factual accuracy of the stories he has published in his books or in interviews he has granted. If anything, it could keep his lead alive longer. In the post, I quoted several paragraphs from Politico’s report and asserted that Carson embellished the West Point story by saying he was admitted.
Dr. Carson “said he has pathological disease” in his autobiography, Mr. Trump said on ABC’s “This Week”. “So I don’t know”, Trump said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.” The first is that instead of describing a meeting with General Westmoreland, Carson carefully said “I had the opportunity to meet General Westmoreland”, a potentially significant shift.
Hours after the broadcast, Trump was back on television and characteristically bullish about his performance, calling it “very well received and probably got very good ratings”.
“I do not remember this level of scrutiny for one president Barack Obama when he was running”. Obama’s citizenship was questioned, including by Trump, and the president later released a birth certificate showing he was born in Hawaii. Clinton’s marital dalliances were heavily reported during his 1992 campaign. Donald Trump already spoke about the book and said Carson had a lot of weird things going on in his life.
But the best news for Carson, Rubio and Cruz could be that likely Republican primary voters overwhelmingly say the more they hear about them, the more they like them. He turned down a military career in favor of medicine, a decision that benefitted untold people alive today because of Carson’s healing hands. “And Ben Carson was in the class'”.
“There is no question about it. And, you know, every single day, or every other day, or every week, you know, they’re going to come out with, well, you said this when you were 13 and you did this and you did – and the whole point is to distract, distract the populace, distract me”.
Did he really attempt to stab a close friend? His often-recounted tale of being offered a scholarship to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and other stories from his youth in inner-city Detroit have come under scrutiny. As John said that evening, Carson did “overstate his case”. The man actually seems honest in everything that he has done throughout his life and never having said about a full scholarship seems more of an emotional mistake rather than something serious.

Carson and his campaign forcefully reject any suggestion he has been less than completely truthful.
