Pittsburgh Steelers Rumors: Tim Tebow Could Join Team To Help Until Ben

Big Ben takes the optimism to another level, telling 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh on Tuesday that he won’t even count himself out this week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the second time this season. It was in the fourth quarter when Aldon Smith sacked Roethlisberger; and Roethlisberger stayed on the ground and grabbed his lower leg. Roethlisberger couldn’t put any weight on his foot, which Roethlisberger was helped off the field, then sent to the locker room via a cart.

Coach Mike Tomlin said Williams was not likely to practice today. Murray finished with 96 yards rushing on 17 carries, including a 44-yard run on the Raiders’ second play of the game.

For his part, Steelers guard Ramon Foster said in a Yahoo Sports report that the team should remain focused despite injuries in the team.

Doesn’t seem quite so amusing anymore, not with the franchise quarterback hurt again and his immediate status uncertain.

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly feared the worst after quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down during Sunday’s win over the Oakland Raiders, initially thinking he had a Lisfranc injury. With the score tied late, Jones hit Antonio Brown for a 57-yard reception that set up the winning field goal from Chris Boswell.

With multiple injuries on offense it appears as it the Steelers must lean on their defense to carry the team to a playoff berth.

The former Oklahoma star was passable last month while filling in as Roethlisberger dealt with a sprained left knee. He is expected to take his place again when the Raiders face the Vikings next Sunday should Hudson be unable to go.

“It gives you confidence”, Jones said.

Williams, who split time for most of his nine years in Carolina with another first-round pick, Jonathan Stewart, has displayed a precise and quick cutting ability. In the receiving end, Antonio Brown had 284 yards in 17 receptions while Williams added 55 yards in two catches.

“It just makes life easy”, Jones said. “It’s something you get mentally ready for”. “You’re going to try and fit the ball in there”.

According to Rich Walsh of CBS Pittsburgh, as the Raiders were taking the field ahead of their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend at Heinz Field, Armstrong “lifted up his shirt, beat his chest, and started barking and yelling at the K-9”.

The Raiders (4-4) were trying to reach the halfway point with a winning record for the first time since 2001. He led a come-from-behind victory over the Arizona Cardinals in mid-October when he came on for an injured Mike Vick and threw two second-half touchdown passes to Bryant. They do deserve credit, though, for making a play when it was desperately needed and intercepting Carr in the fourth quarter. He probably does a few things in the passing game better than Matt. Matt probably does a few things better in the run game, but it’s not about comparing him to Matt. It’s about him developing the type of detail in his work, where we can consistently count on him.
