LG G5 to Feature Metal Exterior, No More Plastic
If true, this would be the first of LG’s flagship smartphones to employ that material, after four generations of plastic handsets. When the rest of the smartphone world chose to rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810, or choose their own processors for flagship mobile devices, LG understood that sometimes its not about the highest performing chipset, but an important integration of critical features on a smartphone.

Fortunately, it sounds like LG won’t be copying other metal case strategies (which can’t be said of every OEM). However, another completely separate and independent report out of Korea’s ETNews suggests the same, which lends credence to these latest reports. The South Korean giant recently launched V10 with metal trims on sides. It will do so through the LG G5, which will reportedly be wrapped in a full metal unibody. Despite the fact only half a year has passed since the announcement of the LG G4, the LG G5 rumors have started popping up.
Join us after the break for details. Next year, the company looks to speed up the release in order to better match other smartphone manufacturers. Combine the leaks from September, the metal frame rumors of today, and the recent changes to the LG V10, and below is a good example of what could be the LG G5 in 2016. However, with that kind of body improvement, it’s also easy to assume that the “LG G5” may not be following its predecessors price-wise.

The Korean source didn’t reveal any information about the rumoured specs of the LG G5. This means buyers will have a few excellent Android smartphones to choose from come February or March of next year. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll do our best to keep you informed when it comes to this handset.
