Launched last year, Disney’s Accelerator program is already making dreams come true.

The participants will receive up to $120,000 in investment from Disney to develop their ideas, along with mentoring from executives.

The spread of startups in this year’s accelerator makes sense. Mentors will also include other entertainment industry leaders, venture capitalists, and Techstars’ extensive network of entrepreneurs, investors and executives. The program runs until October 6th, when Disney will have a Demo Day for the startups.

For instance, Disney integrated characters from its hit film Inside Out into ChoreMonster, a chore-assigning app for children.

Another 2014 accelerator member is Naritiv, a marketing platform for Snapchat, which recently announce that its Pretty Little Liars campaign has amassed more than 1.3 million snapchat followers. And it collaborated with the robotics company Sphero, another accelerator startup, to build an official toy for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, arriving later this year. The 13-week program serves to preserve the legacy of Walt Disney, for whom creativity, technology and innovation were founding touchstones, the media company said.
