Weather: Cloudy with isolated rain, forecasters say

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 55 and low around 43.

The National Weather Service reported it was 38 degrees at 6:54 a.m.at the Scranton Wilkes-Barre worldwide Airport. On Sunday, the temperature rises up to 63 degrees.

Don’t forget the umbrella when you leave the house on Thursday, say NWS meteorologists.

Wednesday: Showers possible after midday.

Tonight: Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Radar showed all of the showers either skirting us to the north or falling apart before getting here.

Showers are expected throughout the day Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service said. Slightly cloudy Thursday night with a low around temperature of 39.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Chances of overnight showers. Cloudy, with a low around 55. Winds SW at 20-30 miles per hour gusting higher at times. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain possible.

A bright but windy morning, with a mixture of sunshine and isolated showers. Largely cloudy Saturday evening with a low round 35. Probability of precipitation is 30 %.

Sunny skies will be over central Virginia today and it will be mild with highs in the middle 60s.
