2 off-duty NYPD detectives subdue man in Hollywood stabbing

A tourist was stabbed on Wednesday by a transient at a popular tourist destination in Hollywood and two NY police officers on assignment in Los Angeles helped the wounded man, police said.

Officers were called to the Hollywood shopping center – in an area that attracts thousands of tourists – at 1:10 p.m. for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to LAPD Officer Jenny Houser.

Liza Brown, a 35-yr-previous social media advertising supervisor visiting Los Angeles from Chesterfield, South Carolina, stated she was buying on the well-liked magnificence retailer Sephora when the stabbing occurred.

A man between 25 and 30 years old was stabbed Wednesday in Hollywood, and his alleged assailant was arrested, police said.

The LAPD said the Russian tourist was with his wife and two young daughters when he got into an altercation with a man, who police believe was homeless. He underwent surgery and was expected to survive.
