A witness said he counted at least 20 corpses being moved from the scene of the blasts while the injured were taken to the hospital.
The insurgents had hit Yola with two deadly bomb attacks this year, with more than 50 people killed.
He said soon after the suspects alighted from the vehicle, they entered the GSM market through different gates and detonated the bomb.
He called on residents to be extra careful and report any suspected character or movement to security agents for prompt response.
Alhaji Muhammed Katsina, the state commissioner of police was also sighted at the scene of the blast and has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice.
“The President extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Government and people of Adamawa and Kano States respectively”.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but all fingers point to the deadly Islamist sect Boko Haram which has conducted several attacks in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.
