Brock Osweiler impresses in his first presser, starting for Broncos “A dream”

He’s been in this for a long time. “He’s going to approach this game like we have the other ones”. The analysts at CBS Sports have picked the Bears to win what amounts to a very important game in a race to the postseason.

Backup Brock Osweiler will start in his place. Kaepernick’s favorite target that game was tight end Vernon Davis, who now runs routes for the Broncos and Osweiler.

“This is my eighth team and third as a head coach”.

Emmanuel Sanders – Broncos: It’s not often you see a player finish with 0 receptions and 0 yards without an injury knocking him out of the game early being the cause of it, but that is exactly what happened to Sanders in Week 10. “So, it still counts the same”. Head coach Gary Kubiak announced the news Monday and now Osweiler will get the chance to start against the Chicago Bears and Manning will likely be inactive for the game. He’s dealing with ailments that are all connected to his throwing motion: a throbbing left foot, aching right shoulder and sore ribs. But a guy who’s played this same system for 16, 17 years and have to change, that’s not an easy task by any means.

“I remember I coached against (Tom) Brady in his first start, and you know how that turned out”, Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said, referring to a 44-13 thumping the Indianapolis Colts received while he was their defensive coordinator in 2001. But applying Manning’s diligence, presence and study habits gives Osweiler the best chance possible to be a successful National Football League quarterback. “That’s what I’m truly excited about”, Osweiler said. “But you know it’s beyond a dream, and what it really is, it’s a team going to Chicago, that needs a win, we know we need to get a win”, Brock Osweiler, Quarterback, said.

“I think they’ll be different”.

“As far as volume of game plan and stuff, I’m very comfortable doing anything with him”. He’s a smart guy, he’s not afraid to work. “We weren’t finishing games and I think we’ve learned a little bit more and matured a little bit and learned how to finish a little bit better as a unit”. “We understand that being as prepared as we can as an offense will be the best way to go about it”. By that point in the game, Manning had thrown an interception and trailed the Kansas City Chiefs, 7-0.

Fox was 46-18 in the regular season in Denver, winning all four AFC West titles during his tenure. As GM John Elway complained, however, Fox’s teams didn’t go down “kicking and screaming” in the playoffs, losing their last game of a season by a combined 150-66 under Fox.

“I am locked in on Chicago”.

“Yes, it’s a big deal”, said Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, calling balderdash on Fox.

The Broncos aren’t into sentimentalities this week, either. The Broncos could hammer the Bears and be competitive when they play New England. Nothing could be better for getting Denver on pace for the playoffs. “He’s a competitor. He wanted to play”. We’ve got that mindset.

Amos is perceived as a run-stopper, but part of the reason he hasn’t been burned to any great extent as a rookie is he has excellent coverage skills as he was a cornerback in college.

“He’s grown from that”, Kubiak said. “Everything was fine”, Kubiak said.

If you still own Manning, I’d ask why?
