Skype for Android now lets you save video messages
The instant messaging and video chat client from the company now lets users save video messages among other things.

The update brings a number of new features that enhance customer experience, and one of the most notable additions is the ability to save video messages.
The update for Android also includes several other refinements, such as a quick way to clean up conversations on the app’s Recents tab. This feature will definitely come in handy since navigating through a whole list of contacts and conversations on a smartphone can prove quite tiresome and frustrating. A long-press on a conversation now brings up a toolbar with buttons to delete the conversation, mark all its messages as read, or just mute its notifications.
Sharing content is also easier with Skype 6.11 for Android.
Skype 6.11 for Android enables users to keep track of special and important Skype moments and messages, allowing those special video messages to be saved directly to your Android phone’s photo gallery for safe keeping.
The app also comes with the promise of newer and simpler ways to share. Just tap on it to forward it to another friend or to a group. Believe it or not, it was not previously possible to share photos in a group this way.

The search tool has also been improved to now allow users to search conversations for content in addition to looking for contact and group names. However, Android devices running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich should probably run the latest Skype app. Until then, you can enjoy the new version of the app by downloading it from Google’s Play Store.
