It’s interesting that Jeter thinks 50 Cent is too urban, when the rapper has been the face of so many other companies before.

Baseball icon Derek Jeter has been slapped with a lawsuit amid allegations he backed out of an underwear deal after 50 Cent was hired as brand ambassador.
Retired NY Yankees superstar Derek Jeter is being sued by an underwear company for backing out of a deal to help promote it.
In an initial report, TMZ said Jeter did not fulfil his promise to underwear brand Frigo after the addition of rapper 50 cent as another brand ambassador.
50 Cent responded to the report on Instagram today (November 18).
Jeter signed a three-year deal in 2011 to be a director of the company and agreed to participate in major publicity events, the suit alleges.
According to legal papers obtained by editors at TMZ, Jeter allegedly chose to back down in 2013 when Frigo was launched in the United States and asked that his involvement not be made public.
50 Cent revealed he had inked a $78 million contract with Frigo bosses previous year in December to endorse the luxury line, which boasts high-tech design with “superior athletic support”. The suit is seeking for Jeter to pay $4.7 million. It added that Ingvarsson really wants the case to go to arbitration instead of having it settled in court.
The brand also counts former Giants kicker Steve Weatherford, hip-hop producer Timbaland and Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony as devotees.

Jeter’s representative refused to comment on the lawsuit as per Toronto Sunday.
