The stabbing took place at the Panarama high-rise office building on Ben Tzvi Street, outside of a Judaica store where prayer minha (midday afternoon) services were being held. Israeli extremists burned 16-year-old Mohammed alive in revenge for the killings of three Israeli teens in the West Bank. The terrorist, who was detained, is 36 year old and from the Palestinian village of Dura, near Hebron in the West Bank who did not have any previous offenses. Other reports said it happened outside the building. Vaknin said he and the rest of the worshipers – around 15 to 20 – pushed the attacker outside and barricaded the door while he shouted in Arabic and continued to try to force his way back in. The attacker is said to be in a critical condition.

One person is in critical condition, while several of the wounded individuals are reported to be foreign nationals who were apparently touring the area.

Thursday’s violence brings the number of Israelis killed in the wave of violence to 16.
