Investigators are examining the weapon to see if it matches the one used to kill Amanda Blackburn.

Meanwhile, Blackburn’s neighbors are working to help authorities find the killer.

Blackburn, the wife of former NewSpring Youth Pastor Davey Blackburn, died after she was shot in a home invasion last week.

WXIN TV reports that police are questioning people in connection to Amanda Blackburn’s deadly shooting.

The two people being questioned were not called suspects, and no arrests have been made.

The gun was recovered “several days ago”, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Lt. Richard Riddle said Tuesday.

On Monday, police released grainy images of a possible suspect that were captured from surveillance video cameras at nearby houses, including one that was burglarized earlier that morning.

It was turned in by someone who said he found it in a yard two blocks from the Blackburn home. “But most importantly the Amanda Blackburn case at this point”.
