Google Hangouts doesn’t require a Google account anymore
Only last month Skype made its video calls more accessible by not requiring an actual Skype account to be able to be invited into a video call.

This week we’re rolling out an update to Google Hangouts that makes joining a video call as simple as clicking a link in an invitation.
Google making it even easier for groups or individuals to use Google Hangouts should go over well enough.
Google Hangouts will now allow you to add anyone into a video-call even people who don’t have a Google account.
Google notes that the feature is something that has been highly requested by businesses, giving them an option to easily invite clients and others that may not already be hooked into Google’s ecosystem.
The mesmerizing Google Hangout new update is truly one of a kind and its release is truly a defining moment in history. The feature is available now for users joining Hangouts through a web browser.
The process is straightforward enough: Simply invite those you want into the call via Google Calendar, which includes a link to the call within it. They’ll click that link, fill in their name, and then will be included in the call.

Overall, this application has come up as the best competitor to Skype and in the end; users are the ultimate beneficiary through this healthy competition.
