Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Torn Banner Studios’ melee-based action game, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digitally on December 1 for $19.99, publisher Activision announced.

Originally released on PC in 2012, Medieval Warfare has since been ported to Xbox 360 (in 2014) and PS3 (earlier this year).

According to the listing, the Xbox One version will include over 25 battlefields and 60 weapons, with support for up to 24-player multiplayer. This will include the full game, plus the Barbarian Character Pack, Marauding Arbiter Pack, Inquisitive Dreadnought Bundle and the Barbarian Weapon Pack.

On both PS4 and Xbox One, Chivalry will feature dedicated servers, which should ensure quality first-person ax swinging.

That’s quite an arsenal and each of the packs and bundles above will also be available as separate DLC on release. Pre-orders for the standard and Ultimate Editions of the game will open on 25th November on the Xbox Games Store.

The essence of the game is the same as the original release. There’s four classes to choose from: Knight, Vanguard, Man-at-Arms and Archer, and a wide variety of single and multiplayer game modes.
