Sachin Pilot meets Rajasthan governor, demands CM Raje’s resignation
Rahul’s two-day visit to Rajasthan starting from July 16 was announced early this week but his detailed programme was yet to be cleared by his SPG. Media reports said on Wednesday that during her first tenure as chief minister between 2003 and 2008, Raje had recommended Modi for the award for his contribution to the game of cricket in the state.

As stated by Mr Pilot, the chief minister is also embroiled in act of corruption.
Jaipur: The Rajasthan Congress today submitted a memorandum to the governor seeking removal of Vasundhara Raje as the chief minister over the Lalit Modi controversy.
“BJP has been in power here for just one-and-a-half-year but the people of Rajasthan are already glum”.
“The honourable governor has received our letter and we hope he would ensure action as per our demand”, he added.
Rahul’s jibe invited sharp retort from BJP which reminded him of his “silence” over scams exposed during the UPA dispensation and said unlike Congress its government had gone for a CBI probe.
The state Congress stressed that Raje’s position had become “untenable” after it was exposed that she secretly’ facilitated the ex-IPL chief’s stay in London even though the latter was wanted by the Indian authorities over alleged financial irregularities.
However, Mr Pilot, who was accompanies by leader of the Opposition in Rajasthan, Rameshwar Dudi, Congress MLAs, and the party’s office bearers said that Ms Raje should have quit on her own to pave the way for a transparent inquiry.

The delegation would meet the Governor and hand over a representation to him demanding sacking of the chief minister, PCC Vice President Archna Sharma said.
