Jurassic World director could be in line for Star Wars Episode IX

According to Heroic Hollywood, Jurassic World director Colin Tervorrow is rumored to be helming Star Wars: Episode IX.

Lucasfilm has snagged a lot of successful filmmakers for all the new Star Wars films, and after the success of Jurassic World, it’s nearly no surprise that they wanted to get Trevorrow onboard. In a way of being constantly updated and to centralise all the information in the same place, the news feed is updated with stories pulled from their ‘Star Wars’ Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Tumblr and even Google+ accounts.

Colin Trevorrow to direct Star Wars Episode 9?

So is this just another rumor or something we can count on? While the move might have been seen as a scheme by Universal to save money in hiring a greenhorn director to perform perfunctory filming duties while under the guidance of experienced producers, it seems that Trevorrows contributions to the vision of the super-successful sequel were apparent. I want it but I’m not sure I really have the space to display it. Are you hoping Trevorrow gets the job?

It’s not surprising. Jurassic World is the current reigning box-office champ (until Ant-Man appears, that is) and has earned $1,413,187,130 as of July 8.
