Greenbay Packers fan files police report against Cam Newton
Colin was at the Carolina-Green Bay game with his grandfathers, the station reports.

OK, whatever. I know Newton gets himself really fired up before kickoff, but it’s just a banner. But Dobs said he was told it had been destroyed.
Dobs took up the issue with police and Panthers management. “But instead he ripped it out of our hands and nearly took my son-in-law’s finger with it”.
Dobs said he didn’t ask for money from the team, only a replacement banner.
We take pride in having the edge of playing in Bank of America stadium, playing in front of the Carolinas each and every week.
Now that the Panthers are 8-0, and beat the Packers, a really solid team, I can’t pretend that I think he sucks anymore.
Dobs’ banner was approved by security before it was brought into the stadium and was deemed in compliance with rules. He said he paid $500 to have the banner made and wants it back. “I would have liked it if he would have signed the banner that they sent”.
Why they thought he might have done that, since they were there to cheer against him, is unclear – far less clear than the policy that prohibited them from displaying it in the first place.
Dobs said he and his family members were holding it over the railing at Bank of America Stadium Sunday before the game, near the tunnel where Panthers players come onto the field.
“Cam Newton hit a couple big plays on them”, he says, “he would miss a few big passes to wide open guys…and 3 or 4 plays later he’d drop a attractive TD pass”.
Dobs, who now works at Fort Bragg is a retired 27-year disabled veteran.
The salty fan says they were excited to see Cam Newton run up to them before the game.

It’s a symbolic gesture he hopes will send a message that Green Bay fans can be just as loyal as Panthers fans. “If it weren’t for Julius Peppers, Cam would have run the other way and given the ball to another child, and you never would have heard about Colin”. “Either somebody was going to have to take it off or I’d take it off. And it’s no disrespect to nobody, it’s more of a respect to the stadium”.
