Two Eli Manning two touchdown passes gave the NY Giants a sizeable lead Sunday, and several key defensive plays sealed a 32-18 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

Giants’ special teams – The special teams were reliable all season, until last week’s game-changing punt return breakdown at the end of the loss to the New Orleans Saints. “I got to be better”.

Pierre-Paul played 18 of New York’s 26 first-half snaps against Tampa Bay on Sunday, all at his usual right defensive end position. “He seems to play with a calm mind, plays at a good play speed, [has] soft hands, and when there’s a lot of moving and shaking going on out there, it doesn’t seem to disrupt him much”.

“He will assume whatever roles we need to design in order for us to maximize his ability”, Coughlin said. Winston has added a new wrinkle to his game with three rushing touchdowns this year. “It was all about us making sure we did it on the field and not just talked about it. I don’t find it a surprise to us that we’re at the top”.

But the plays Evans did make added up to what was more or less a career day for the second-year wideout.

Placekicker Josh Brown made all four of his field-goal attempts, including clutch kicks of 53 and 44 yards with the Giants clinging to the lead in the fourth quarter. His teammate, Vincent Jackson, ranks third in that regard, with his rate of one ever 4.15 games just behind Antonio Bryant’s rate of one every 4.14 games. The Giants had the ball for 34:55, compared to Tampa Bay’s 25:05….

After the Giants got burned by Brees, Rodgers-Cromartie didn’t feel things would be easier with Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston – rookie or not.

Jennings signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent on September 7 after spending his first nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears. Brown has made a franchise record 23 straight field goals, including 19 this season. The Giants defensive end officially played 45 of 63 defensive snaps (71%) in his first game this season. Neither scored a touchdown. Though the ball hits him in the numbers, a potential pickup of 40 yards or more still slips through his arms. “So he was a presence, and that’s just after two weeks of practicing”. That left the linebacker group in shambles – J.T. Thomas also was out with an ankle injury – and Brinkley as the only experienced player at the middle linebacker position.

“I’m going to go all the way back to training camp”. Jonathan Casillas has also been thrust into a starting role, with the injury to J.T. Thomas, and he recorded six tackles on Sunday, including a touchdown saver on Mike Evans.
