He added that India is safe for the Muslims staying here adding that they will continue contributing towards Indian economy irrespective of what US President Barack Obama says. However, Madani did express concern about the current atmosphere where “language and expressions” being used by certain quarters were not acceptable.

The terror attacks in Paris on Friday had killed 129 people and injured 350 others. Without naming him, the Jamiat said, “We completely discard the action-reaction theory propounded by a few persons”.

Condemning the terror strikes in Paris, Turkey and Lebanon, Madani said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and its affiliate organisations will stage protests tomorrow in various parts of the country. “So, it is incumbent upon Muslims, scholars and clerics to preach and propagate the real message of Islam and defeat the designs of fanatics who are out to malign Islam”, he said.
