Bruins’ Eriksson rings up hat trick against Wild goalie Dubnyk
The young Bruins forward appeared to injure his right shoulder, though no word is out yet.

The Wild haven’t held a lead in regulation in their last three games and have led for just 1 minute, 12 seconds during that seven-game road stretch.
About four minutes later, with the Bruins on the power play, the Swedish winger notched his second of the game to lift Boston to a 3-1 lead.
The Bruins turned in another clunker at TD Garden with a 5-4 setback to San Jose on Tuesday night to drop to 2-6-1 at home. Jonas Gustavsson received the start and was solid once again, improving his record to 4-1 on the season. I have no idea why Boston is favoured here as the Wild are the better team and we will jump on them now before the line swings in favour of Minny.
Thursday night, the veteran right winger, acquired in the unpopular deal that sent Tyler Seguin to Dallas, came through with his third career hat trick – his first since December 31, 2009 as a member of the Stars- to lead Boston to a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild. They goal was reviewed but the call stood because Eriksson did not have a kicking motion.
Boston’s home record is its worst after nine games since it opened 1-5 with three ties in 1996-97. It’s the ninth time in Minnesota’s last 10 road games that they’ve given up the first goal.
They killed off a late Brad Marchand penalty taken with 4:07 left and then the Wild killed their own chances for a comeback when they took a too-many-men penalty with 1:45 left.
The second period for the Bruins was an important period and Matt Beleskey, Ryan Spooner, and David Krejci all made good plays without being on the scoreboard. “He’s a huge part of our defensive game”, said Wild coach Mike Yeo, who was also without Scandella for two games last week after he left for two days to be with his ailing father. It’s one thing if it’s one game but it’s continuous; it’s game after game.
Boston Bruins left wing Loui Eriksson, right, skates past Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter, center, after scoring his first goal of the game during the second period of an NHL hockey game in Boston Thursday, November 19, 2015. He went directly down the runway to the locker room. The Wild, who recalled D Gustav Olofsson from the minors, have been dealing with injuries up front, with LW Zach Parise missing his sixth game with a knee injury…. The Boston defense got one Miller (Colin) back but not the other Miller (Kevan), who will miss at least four games with an upper-body injury….
