This Delhi boy bagged a 1.25 crore offer from Google

The offer has set a new record for worldwide placement for DTU, where the highest package offered till now was 93 lakh, that was offered by Google.

Breaking the myth of IIT students faring better in job placements, Chetan Kakkar, a Delhi Technology University (DTU) student grabbed an envious offer of Rs 1.27 crore package with the same search-engine giant Google. Kakkar, an alumni of Springdales, Pusa Road, reportedly said that, “DTU campus had made a great difference to his prospects”.

Chetan, who is a final year student from the field of Information Technology will start his work with Google from the coming year after completing his B.Tech program. “Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department and Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies”, the report further added.

Also, given that the CEO of Google is Sundar Pichai, it probably means that Indian students will as good a chance as any.

Highly over whelmed Chetan expressed his feelings saying that, “This was what I had been striving for so far and I am very excited to join Google”.
