Just a couple of days after its global unveil, Lamborghini has launched the Huracan LP 580-2 in India at a price of Rs. 2.99 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

It is powered by the same 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, which has been slightly detuned to produce 580 PS (30 PS lower than regular Huracan).

This is despite Lamborghini’s refusal to sell the LP 580-2 with a proper manual transmission (it’s a seven-speed dual-clutch auto or nothing), but we doubt any potential customers will mind. The selectable Lamborghini driving modes STRADA, SPORT and CORSA are tuned to provide over-steering characteristics, emphasizing authentic rear-wheel drive behaviour, the carmaker said. The RWD Huracan develops a massive 540 Nm of torque. “Apart from that the Huracan LP 580-2 is also fitted with the latest Lamborghini Infotainment System II, with a 12.3” high resolution TFT instrument panel. 0-100kmph is claimed to be 3.4s (0.2s slower than the LP610-4), while the top speed is set to reach about 318kmph.

The company informed that the vehicle has a fuel consumption of 11.9 litres per 100 km. Forty per cent of the weight is towards the front end of the auto where as the other 60 per cent is present at the rear.
