The MTA works closely with the NYPD to secure New York’s subways and buses, and MTA Bridges and Tunnels Officers are using a mix of visual and technological surveillance to ensure safety at its seven bridges and two tunnels in NY City.

NY City Police Department spokesman Stephen Davis said the agency is aware of the video, and will continue to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and intelligence community.
The mayor added that the NYPD is adding 500 cops to counter-terrorism duty.

Police said travelers and commuters can expect to see an increased police presence at all mass transit hubs, including Hartford’s Union Station where buses headed to NY City on Thursday.

“They’ve started rolling out on our streets to reassure our folks and to be in places that are well traveled – you know, busy parts of the city like Times Square and other locations”. No one seriously expects ISIS to release actual video prep of their targets.

Bill de Blasio the Mayor of NY said the people of the city could not be intimidated and should continue business as usual.
Bratton said the video appears to be produced from a collection of previously released ISIS videos. One of the suspects, authorities say, had a hand-drawn picture of a planned route from Turkey to Germany, via Greece, Serbia and Hungary. Islamic State run or inspired deadly attacks in Paris, on a Russian jetliner and in the heart of the Middle East in Lebanon.
