Dolphins take advantage of opportunities in win at Philadelphia

When Miami played against the Philadelphia Eagles they needed a bit of momentum and with their 20-19 victory they might have gotten it. Defeating a team like Philadelphia on the road without one of your best defensive pass rushers like Cameron Wake should be applauded.

Hawkins, who plays for the Cleveland Browns says he has no memory of the hit that caused his injury. Sanchez has been good in the past for Philadelphia, but the longer this season goes on, the harder it gets to believe in the Philadelphia Eagles.

“We’ll address Sam when we figure out what’s wrong with him”, Kelly said. Injuries are making the passing game wide open and Ertz and Celek might be the best two options for Sanchez.

We know what Sanchez is.

Some, including Joyner, have suggested that Kelly was more to blame for that fourth-quarter red-zone interception than Sanchez.

“This is a great opportunity for us”, Suh said.

Of course we’d all like to get injury updates as soon as possible, but at least we know where we stand in terms of when to expect the updates.

After Bradford was injured, the Dolphins went ahead 20-16 on their next drive.

Ultimately a ball that deflected off the helmet of Connor Barwin and high into the air was pulled down by Jarvis Landry in the end zone for what proved to be the winning points. The Dolphins also had game plans that took advantage of the many backups in the lineup, meaning they didn’t try to do too much and kept things basic.

Jones never really got a chance.

Hewitt, Hull and Lippett contributed from scrimmage, and kicker Andrew Franks (two field goals, two extra points) and punter Matt Darr (eight punts, 49.1 yards per punt) were also solid. Tannehill dropped to pass in the end zone and was blindsided by blitzing safety Walter Thurmond and fumbled out of the end zone for a safety, giving the Eagles a 9-6 lead with 8:38 left in the opening period. “Everybody did their job on that play and I happened to be the guy that came free”.

The Achilles heel of this Eagles team is twofold.

“I’m not fired up about safeties at all”, Campbell said.

Crossing Broad put together a number of gloomy statistics following the Eagles’ latest loss.

OUCH: Dolphins CB Brent Grimes was a surprise inactive, ending his streak of 40 straight starts.

“When we arrived last night, he was not feeling well”. “Obviously the interception was a big down for him, but he made a few plays”.

To take it a step further, his postgame speech to his players is just as inspiring as his first game was.

Grimes said he hoped to return against Dallas.

“I wouldn’t have been any help to the team”. There was good, there was, and there was ugly during the game, but, at the end of the day, the best was that Miami is still in the Playoff hunt after coming away with the win.

“I’m not going to make excuses”, he said.

Here are three plays that won’t get out of mine. With the Eagles slated to play on Thanksgiving, it gives Bradford a short week in between Week 11 and Week 12 to recover. Josh Huff is the Eagles’ emergency quarterback.

“To me he’s just gaining strength”. “That’s how football goes”.
