Sterling facing Liverpool is nothing special – Klopp

Striker Sergio Aguero is set to return for Manchester City against Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend after seven games out with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City, who were held to a goalless draw by bottom-placed Aston Vila in their last game before the global break, are next up against Liverpool tomorrow.

But his return has been tempered by the fact City will be without Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri and David Silva for the visit of the Reds.

“Sergio is fit – he is ready to come back”, Pellegrini told a press conference, the club’s official website reports. The coach, former Liverpool legend Sami Hyypia, played Emre across the midfield, most usually in a holding position that allowed him both to win balls in his own half and use his pace, vision and dribbling skills to start attacking moves. “Liverpool is a great club, City is a fantastic club”.

“It’s always special, not only for Raheem, to play against a team (where) they spent a lot of years, for James Milner the same, that is part of the career of the player and they are now defending another shirt”, Pellegrini said.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini has urged Sterling to play “not with a cold heart, but with a cold head”, while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp attempted to play down the England international’s first game against the Reds. I’ve been back training for the past couple of days and I was training when he first arrived. He has only just shaken off the knee injury he sustained in Klopp’s first week at Anfield and although the manager is keen to have him in the matchday squad he is short of match fitness. “Of course he is not at 100 per cent and of course we have to see”, said Klopp. However in Hugo Lloris they will be facing one of the top flight’s most reliable shot stoppers, protected by a defence that has soaked up more than 20 shots for each goal conceded at home.

“He is as fit as he can be after this long break”. Although he frequently roams inside from the flank (particularly when David Silva is absent), Sterling appears to have a much more settled role in the team which has resulted in greater consistency in his performances.

Manchester United, who trail third-placed Leicester City by a point, face 11th-placed Watford with a doubt hanging over their rance striker Anthony Martial, who injured his foot in the 2-0 friendly defeat by England at Wembley on Tuesday.

“Raheem is young and must improve a lot in important things. We have watched games with all of these players and without these players”.
