Texas Officer Shot During Task Force Operation

Authorities are investigating a shooting in Oak Cliff that wounded an undercover officer from Arlington.

The unidentified officer from the Arlington Police Department was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to Police Chief Will Johnson.

Dallas police didn’t immediately release the name of the suspect or provide details on charges, pending a news conference Friday afternoon.

Police are trying to determine who shot an Arlington officer during a special task force operation in a Dallas neighborhood.

“The condition of the officer is unknown at this time”, Dallas police said in a written statement.

Thursday morning, CBS Dallas reported that the suspect or suspects involved in the incident were on the run.

An ambulance was called to the Shell station at West Wheatland and Hampton Road just before 6:30 a.m., WFAA reported.
