Turkish Man Dances In Underpants On Wing Of Plane
When you thought that air travel couldn’t be fun, think again! A Turkish bodybuilder danced in his underpants on the wing of a private German government airplane this last month. The man was clearly on drugs as he clutched a bag of marijuana and ecstasy in his hands as he danced around, sprayed foam inside the plane and gave a show. The man was identified as Volkan T. Details of the incident have just recently been released.

The news spread fast and it turned out that Volkan had an argument with his girlfriend, which would explain the rash behavior that he decided to do next. The ordeal lasted two hours before police could apprehend the man. The reason the man was able to gain access to a high profile plane was that the emergency doors were accessible and the cockpit door was left open. This is something the airline is investigating.
The plane was for German Chancellor Angela Merkel as she was 100 kilometers away when the man decided to do what he did. Ulrich Bremer, Cologne state prosecutor, said, “The investigation is focused on the charges of dangerous interference in aviation but also trespassing and damage to property. As part of that probe it’s of interest how the accused got onto the site and into the plane.” The entire incident could have been avoided had the airport had better security. This is something many are wondering about.
The man initially gained access to the gate by claiming that he was going to a reception for a wedding in officer’s quarters. However, he then climbed a barb wire fence and gained access to the plane. He triggered an alarm in the cockpit which is how police were able to know something was wrong. In the end, at least $100,000 worth of damage was caused and as a result things are going to have to change around the airport if this is going to be prevented from happening again.

Things in this nature often don’t happen every day and there are normally protocols that can be followed, but it has to be said that it is pretty funny that a man in his underpants high on marijuana and ecstasy was able to get on the wing of the Airbus 319 and not be spotted by employees. Sadly for everyone, there is no video. That would have been a lot better to see than to just read about it.
