North Branford’s Annual Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa is set for Friday.
High winds and heavy rain are pushing back the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Superior.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. Other speakers include Rotary Club 2015 President Liz Parker and Salvation Army Lts.
At the tree lighting, you can warm up with hot drinks from Storyville, enjoy tasty cookies from Aegis Living, and enjoy holiday music. Families are encouraged to bring their cameras to take pictures with Santa and costumed holiday characters.
To accommodate the event, Allegheny Avenue will be closed to traffic from Washington Avenue to the traffic circle from 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
A tree lighting and activities follow by Sears.
