The two teams combined for 18 first-half turnovers, including 10 by Minnesota, as the Timberwolves clung to a 44-38 lead.

“That’s when Washington Wizards vs Detroit Pistons in Washington” Drummond took over.
After the Wolves controlled the game for most of the first half, things changed right away in the second. “And when he gets the ball in there, he’s pretty good”.
On the front end of a tough back-to-back, Stan Van Gundy rode his bench heavily tonight and it actually paid off. After playing just one game back at The Palace of Auburn Hills, the Pistons took another plane ride west, this time to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Baynes was a major contributor in the Pistons’ 96-86 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Since surprisingly winning four of their first six games, the Timberwolves have managed to win only one of next six leaving them with a respectable 5-7 record in the west. It was his fifth consecutive game of at least 20 points. Ricky Rubio had 12 points and seven assists….
“We missed shots”, Wolves interim coach Sam Mitchell said. But the third quarter was once again a house of horrors for the home team, with the Timberwolves being outscored 30-21 in the frame. “We tried to limit the spacing on the floor, tried to play tighter defense”. “Andre was great protecting the rim”.
Minnesota will be looking for their first win at home this season when they face the travelling Detroit Pistons who bounced back from four straight losses to record an impressive win against the conference leading Cleveland Cavaliers.
Eight Pistons scored, with Marcus Morris tallying 16 points and rookie Stanley Johnson producing perhaps the best game of his short career with 15 points off the bench.

The Pistons pulled away early in the fourth, with six quick points, including back-to-back jumpers by Morris and a putback by Aron Baynes (six points and 11 rebounds).
