Trump, Carson Remain on Top in GOP Presidential Race
After losing a few percentage points in a WBUR survey two weeks ago, Trump is more firmly on top in the latest poll (topline, crosstabs), with 23 percent of likely Republican primary voters choosing him or leaning his way. Donald Trump was supposed to fade, then Ben Carson, leaving Bush as the most electable man in the field – especially in the critical state of Florida, where Bush served two terms as a highly popular governor. The results of the poll, which surveyed national voters and not UMass students, were unsettling but not surprising to students on campus. The poll was conducted November 5-14 of 624 Utahns and has a margin of error of plus or minus just under 4 percent. All other candidates ranked in the single digits. Rubio was again in second place in the survey among actual candidates, but he trailed Trump by 20 percentage points.

Younger voters helped push Sanders one point ahead of Clinton, 45 percent to 44 percent.
“Trump appears to have flat-lined…”
On the other hand, Sanders wins in possible matchups with Carson, Rubio and Trump.
“I put the chances at somewhere between zero and nil”, he said. However, he also faces considerable opposition. Take a break, Jeb Bush.
Glenn Matlosz, 71, of Audubon, New Jersey, said Mr Trump would be the most able to address terrorism because he’s proven to be a straight talker. “I’d say the chance of Trump or Carson winning is probably 10% or lower, but still, you know, I’m not going to sit here confidently and say, ‘Oh, it’s impossible for them to win, ‘ because the GOP may be a bit different than usual”, Silver said.
The breakout of support by ethnic demographic is actually pretty good for Donald Trump.
“Unfortunately for Hillary Clinton, this recent poll confirms the people of Florida are unhappy with her failed record as secretary of state, the negative headlines haunting her campaign, and the FBI investigation into her secret email server”, GOP spokesman Wadi Gaitan said.
Pucci added there is “no room for an Islamophobe like Trump or Carson” in light of the current global affairs. Results for the Republican nomination are based on 326 registered voters who consider themselves Republicans or independents who lean to the Republican Party.

However when it came to favourable opinions of the candidates, 55 per cent of white evangelicals said they had a favourable view of Carson, while only 26 per cent they held an unfavourable view of the retired neurosurgeon.
