Haskell returns to face Toulon in Champions Cup

He will line up alongside George Smith and Nathan Hughes in the back row at the Ricoh Arena with Sam Jones returning to the bench after his impressive contribution to last weekend’s 33-6 triumph against Leinster.

Wasps’ Director of Rugby Dai Young said his side needed to produce consistent performances rather than become complacent after a brilliant display at the RDS Arena. “There’s no doubt about it. If an organisation like Leinster were two defeats down with the minor matter of Toulon back-to-back coming up in December, well they’re looking fairly snookered aren’t they and that would be so early in the season in November”. They have deservedly won the title three years running – the first team ever to achieve that – but our squad won’t be daunted.

“We’re trying to work in a new structure at the moment and it’s a good structure to play in, it allows you get on the ball and make decisions but there are parts of that structure that broke down badly at the weekend and that need to be a hell of a lot better”.

“These European occasions are rare and should be savoured”. It’s not often supporters get to see so many superstars of the game, on one pitch, in a club rugby match.

Isaac Boss comes in to replace Eoin Reddan, while Johnny Sexton starts once more in the number 10 jersey.

There still seemed to be a feeling of disbelief around Leinster headquarters today as the media converged for the pre-match press conference with Leo Cullen and Devin Toner ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup pool match away to Bath. Tickets are still available to purchase. Under 10s go free. The Ticket Office will be open from 10am on Sunday morning. Supporters are encouraged to allow plenty of time to travel to the Ricoh Arena and for access to the stadium.
