Chelsea Boss Mourinho Rules Out January Changes
Jose Mourinho has conceded he would not be able to turn down a superstar signing should Chelsea’s hierarchy offer him such a player in January despite the Portuguese coach publicly admitting he does not intend to demand any new recruits.

Jose Mourinho admits he is “a bit worried” about the prospect of football matches being targeted by terrorists as Chelsea and the rest of the Premier League increase their security for this weekend’s games.
He told reporters at his pre-match press conference, as shown on the club’s official website: “I will not ask any change to the board for January”. ‘I don’t need to clean the dressing room. I don’t need to ask the club to spend money in January.
“With all the respect I have for unpredictability in football, and all the respect I have for our opponents, I think we will play well and get a good result”, he said.
“Sometimes when you come up against the big teams it is hard but we’re still wanting to go up against those teams and put in a good performance and hopefully come away with something”.
Mourinho pointed out that his squad, languishing in 16th place, were also responsible for winning the Premier League title last season and thanked Blues fans for their ongoing support.
The defending Premier League champions Chelsea are still seeing themselves at the bottom of the table and will try to improve their record when they meet Norwich City today, Saturday, at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “When I’m saying December I am saying between the first and last day of December”. Nobody gives a four-year contract four months ago if they don’t trust the person. To look at players, to know the market, to watch worldwide games with teams where you don’t follow the league is good.
“But obviously the power is in the hands of the owner and the board”. Despite this defensive boost, there are still doubts over Nathan Redmond who risks missing the game with a thigh injury.
Matt Jarvis is still out with a knee injury but Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan are expected to be passed fit despite their exploits while away with the Republic of Ireland that saw them secure their place at Euro 2016.
He said: “If every player connected with us is true we would have to build another training centre”.

Mourinho, who has led the Blues to their worst start to a season for 37 years, has publicly criticised several members of his first-team squad this campaign, including Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic.
