Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham Uncertain To Play Saturday Against Oklahoma State

It was just as clear that not everybody was going to come out OK, which is why there’s a faint whiff of desperation around No. 10 Baylor and No. 18 TCU going into Saturday.

#T8 Baylor at #3 Oklahoma State (even) – Oh, man, the Big 12 will go nuts if it doesn’t get a team in the playoff this year. Stidham played hurt against Oklahoma. Oklahoma won 44-34.

But then earlier this week, between the Duke-Kentucky basketball game and Kansas facing MI State, there was Kirk Herbstreit breaking down the CFB playoff seedings.

Oklahoma State is 12-4 against Baylor in Stillwater….

Baylor stands in the way of perhaps the biggest Bedlam matchup ever.

While the SEC has one of the softie weekends, other conferences are ramping up the heat as big games will be eliminators for the College Football Playoff or other prime bowl games for conference champions (such as the Pac-12).

With Oklahoma handing No. 10 Baylor its first home loss since October 2012 last weekend, the Bears desperately need a win on Saturday to stay in the College Football Playoff discussion. Since losing to Texas, Oklahoma has been playing extremely well, and just beat Baylor in Waco last week.

As great a defense that Oklahoma State seems to have, it really has not been up to par the past two weeks – particularly against the run. “It’s something we’ve been looking forward to”. That certainly isn’t what those teams or the Big 12 conference wants, but it very well could be what they get. The offense of Baylor is well balanced and effective in both the run and passing game. I’ll take the moral victory, don’t care what anybody says about those.

This league is trying to make it harder, not easier, for the selection committee to evaluate its worthiness.

“If we lose any game from now on out, we don’t get those big rings”, Tapper said. He’ll bring a banged-up unit, with health questions about his young quarterback, Jarrett Stidham.

The old system allowed you to hoodwink the computers, and the voting coaches, with fancy win-loss records built on the backs of lower-division opponents. “That’s how it is here at Baylor”. But we’re going to approach this week like we do every week. “OSU is a great football team and a great program, and we know they’ll have a live crowd there in Stillwater”. He has 15.5 tackles for loss and 17 quarterback hurries.

Art Briles hasn’t lost back-to-back games since 2012, and will walk into Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday at the helm of the most efficient offense in the country.

“We’re definitely a different team than at the beginning of the season”, Adams said. “He leads the conference in sacks, so it’ll be a good challenge”. It might be a little bit of both, but it also might be that Ohio State is just better.

The good news is that with only three weeks left before the playoff field is set, we can start imagining specific situations that would produce a few wonderfully entertaining chaos.

The Cowboys improved their rushing game by rotating quarterback J.T. Walsh into the mix along with Mason Rudolph. Junior tailback Shock Linwood leads the attack with 1,149 yards (7.4 per carry) and 9 TDs.

Follow the road to the 2015 College Football Playoff at The Football Four, our home to rate and debate the nation’s best. He had 200 yards against Texas Tech, scored three touchdowns against TCU and had six catches for 103 yards in the first half against Kansas. There defense has been playing a lot better than people give them credit for.

If you don’t already know, which would be sad, Corey Coleman is a beast and probably the best receiver in all of college football. The Sooners held him to 3 grabs for 51 yards and zero touchdowns.

Stidham was one of the nation’s top recruits coming out of high school, but Ogbah still sees a young player on film.
