Klay Thompson showed signs of his ’14-15 self when he scored 18 points in the first half on Thursday, but he finished with 25 overall. Andre Iguodala hit a pair that left Golden State trailing 112-110.

It was Golden State’s 14th win without a loss, one short of the best season start first established by the Washington Capitols of 1948-49 and equaled by the Houston Rockets in the 1993-94.

Superstar player Steph Curry explained the urgency in the way the Warriors had been playing to start the season is their way of establishing their identity as one of the best teams ever in league history.

All throughout this first month of the season, the Warriors have found a way to come through with the game on the line.

“We’re not approaching it like they’re ungodly”, Clippers guard Austin Rivers said at the morning shoot-around.

Curry also revealed he felt the team could do better and that they put themselves in a losing position.

“The recipe against the Clippers is you can’t give them easy points”, said Curry, who committed seven turnovers.

Stephen Curry and Chris Paul each had 27 points after three quarters.

Draymond Green had a near triple-double performance, with 23 points, 12 assists and 8 rebounds.

NOTES: The Warriors are now 4-0 on the second night of back-to-backs this season….

“My teammates just kept giving me the ball”, he said, “and to tell you the truth, whether I wanted it or not”. Harrison Barnes had 20 points and nine rebounds.

Guard Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. The Cavaliers lead the Eastern Conference at 9-3. “I don’t know what to say other than every single night, when it’s a close game and it’s time to win, no matter how we’ve played, our guys step up”.

While he was listed as “doubtful” prior to the start of the evening, Paul provided 35 points in 32 minutes of play and looked no worse for wear throughout the game. G J.J. Redick missed his third straight game because of back spasms….

The Bulls scored five points in the final 5:43. Golden State did so with its third tough game in four nights, too.

The Clippers entered the game saying they were unfazed by Golden State’s ideal record.

A three-pointer by Thompson gave the Warriors their first lead since the beginning of the first quarter – 113-112 with 2:43 to play.

A Curry 3-pointer cut the deficit to 68-54 at halftime.

The Warriors closed the quarter on a 22-13 run that began with eight in a row to trail 68-54 at halftime.

Just like the last few games, the Golden State Warriors found themselves in a dogfight coming down the stretch against the Chicago Bulls at Oracle Arena on Friday night. The Warriors have won 25 consecutive regular season home games since that matchup and the Bulls may be without Derrick Rose tonight.

Golden State achieved a huge come-from-behind win over the LA Clippers to be 13-0 this NBA season
