Trump says he didn’t suggest Muslim database

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton on Friday condemned Donald Trump’s comments that Muslims in America should be registered in a data base.

When asked repeatedly how his idea would be different than what the Nazis did to the Jews and other minorities before World War II in Germany, Trump repeated “You tell me” to reporters.

Despite ongoing tensions between the United States of America and Russian Federation, 53 percent of Americans favor a U.S.-Russia military coalition to fight Islamic terrorism.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more. “That’s just wrong”, said the brother of President George W. Bush, who as president frequently insisted that Islam was a “religion of peace” following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on NY and Washington. “The idea that someone would have to register with the federal government due to their religion strikes against all we have believed in our nation’s history”, the OH governor said in a statement.

But he retreated quickly Friday morning, posting a note on his Twitter page that said: “I didn’t suggest a database – a reporter did”.

Trump tied his database proposal to his immigration policy, which has become a central focus of his campaign for the Republican nomination in the November 2016 election.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has also spoken out against the acceptance of Syrian refugees, saying in a statement on Monday that “there is now no ability to vet these people”.

Dr. Carson raised a few eyebrows Thursday when he quietly compared blocking potential terrorists posing as Syrian refugees from entering the USA to handling a rabid dog.

Indeed, at another campaign event Friday, Trump did not rule out the idea of a Muslim registry.

I wonder if Trump supporters will start calling Cruz a RINO.

Trump tweeted this afternoon: “I didn’t suggest a database-a reporter did”.

Marco Rubio, son of Cuban immigrants, has said that it is no longer safe to allow Syrians escaping terror to come to the US.

“There’s a growing consensus that someone has to do something to stop Donald Trump, ” said Matt David, a spokesman for the group, who said the campaign would include television, radio, mail and digital ads in New Hampshire.

“You’re just spreading what I would call prejudice and fear among Americans and alienating the Muslims when you do that”, Yousufi said.

While Donald Trump is facing heat for apparently supporting the idea of a database of Muslims in the US, GOP primary opponent Ben Carson also wants a database – of everyone in the country.

He also ignored a question of whether there would be consequences for Muslims who do not register into the hypothetical database.
